What do natural little bee do?
Natural Little Bee is a skincare company Based in the Scottish Borders. We predominantly use natural, organic, unrefined & where possible local ingredients to make a range of natural bee products. We use biodegradable labels & recycleable packaging to ensure we leave a kinder footprint to our planet.
Our products include;

- lotion bars & liquid hand & body lotion
-cold pressed soaps
-natural facial serums

- therapeutic grade skincare (profession cycling teams, clinics for sports & clinical care i.e radio therapy)
All of our products contain a combination of either local beeswax or honey- this is, we believe the key ingredients to why our products really benefit the skin. Both beeswax & honey is still used today in hospitals in medicinal terms. Just as it was used in for example; wound healing in world war 1 & 2 with it’s natural healing properties. The combination of our bee ingredients & natural, organic unrefined butters & non diluted oils are primarily formulated to soothe and re-hydrate your skin. The moto here really is why re-invent the wheel. So in a nutshell we don’t dilute oils and we don’t use harsh chemical based ingredients.
Why do our skincare products contain beeswax and Honey?
Beeswax and Honey are amazing ingredients, and the ‘Big Skincare’ manufacturers know this which is why a surprising number of products that claim to be natural, actually feature ‘synthetic beeswax and honey???’, water and cheaper oils which act as a thin film on skin rather than an effective barrier. Beeswax and Honey are a humectant- this means it helps your skin to absorb and retain moisture to keep it from drying out. To boot it’s packed with natural antioxidants, has antimicrobial properties (it inhibits the growth and reproduction of microorganisms) and it is an antiseptic (It literally destroys microbes, inhibits their growth preventing and even counteracts their pathogenic action). These super properties mean it acts as an active protective barrier while allowing the skin to breathe, repair, soothe and nourish.

Il miele e la cera d'api contenuti nei nostri saponi, balsami labbra e unguenti per le mani al miele Naturallittlebee provengono tutti da coltivazioni entro 8 chilometri da noi, nella valle scozzese del Tweed.
Perché le api sono così importanti?
Il 90% delle piante selvatiche e il 75% delle principali colture globali dipendono dall'impollinazione animale. Quindi circa un boccone del nostro cibo dipende da impollinatori come le api (WWF, 2023).

Why did you start Natural Little Bee?
The skin products for adults are not actually our first products nor the reason that Natural Little Bee exists. It actually started thanks to the founders Daughter, who suffered with sore and irritated skin from birth. After working through all the chemical based products that did nothing for her skin we arrived at a mix of Shea, Coconut and our super ingredient Beeswax which had an almost immediate impact on her skin and if it works for babies imagine what it can do for adults.
We are pleased to have gold award winning products and positive reviews from companies such as Green Parent Magazine & Bike Radar. Moreso, we are pleased to have wonderful reviews from customers and repeat custom which has been down to the tradition method of word of mouth. We are always excited to continue to develop new formulas for people who have difficult skin conditions as it’s the main reason why we established Natural Little Bee.
